Organized Crime Control and Anti-Corruption Committee recommends that the Parliament should adopt as a basis the bill to amend the Law “On the Principles of Corruption prevention and Counter-Action” (re expanding limitations on the work of connected person)

The document (Reg. No. 2069) establishes that individuals having a connected person who works in the prosecutor’s office, Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Security Service and judges within the respective administrative-territorial unit, cannot apply for the position in the abovementioned regional (territorial) bodies.

As was stressed during the discussion, adoption of the bill shall ensure objectivity of the decisions taken by the officials of the law enforcement (judicial) bodies while executing their official duties.
